Accessibility statement
Last updated: 23 October 2026
A website that serves older people and people with disabilities has to be accessible first. It is part of our work, not an extra.
The standard we follow
This site was built to meet the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on WCAG 2.0. In many places we went further.
What we did
- Large base text, comfortable spacing and high colour contrast.
- A “Display” button at the top of every page: two larger text sizes, high contrast and stopping animations. Your choice is saved in your browser.
- The site respects your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Full keyboard navigation, a “Skip to content” link and a clear focus indicator.
- A logical heading structure, labelled regions and semantic markup that screen readers recognise.
- Forms with persistent labels, clear error messages that are announced, and an explanation of what to fix.
- Works on any screen size and at up to 200% zoom without losing content.
- Every illustration has a text description, and decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
- Tested in Chrome, Safari and Firefox, on desktop and mobile.
What is not perfect yet
The site is new, and some part of it may not yet be accessible enough. If you come across one, we would like to know and fix it.
